Ontario: Canada’s Pathway to Global Education ## Program Overview ### Short Program In this program, Grade 9–11 credits are transferred from the student’s local high school. By completing 8 courses, the student qualifies for the OSSD. Typically beginning in Grade 10 or 11, the program lasts 3–4 terms (1–1.5 years). With this pathway, students can access private universities in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Germany, and beyond. The fastest and most economical route to the OSSD. A focused, intensive pathway designed for students completing their local high school, offering the opportunity to graduate with the **Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)** in just **1 to 1.5 years**. ## Program Summary The Short Program is the **fastest and most economical route** to the OSSD. Students continue at their local high school, transferring **22 credits**, and complete **8 Ontario courses** with OIHS. By taking **2–3 courses per term**, students can earn a second diploma within **8–12 months**. ### Who Is It For? * Current Grade 11–12 students or recent graduates * Students seeking to enhance their local diploma with an Ontario diploma in order to apply to universities in **North America** or select **private European universities** ### University Admissions * Universities and colleges in **Canada, the U.S., and the U.K.** * Many **private universities in Europe** and some **public universities** ⚠️ **Note:** Some European public universities require evidence of both Grade 11 and Grade 12 coursework. In such cases, this program alone may not meet admission requirements. ## Course Plan The Ontario high school system allows students to tailor their courses to their interests and goals. For the **OSSD**, students must take: * **2 required courses:** Careers & Civics, Literacy * **6 Grade 12 courses**, including compulsory English and Mathematics ## Pathways The remaining 4 courses are selected based on academic goals: Engineering or Sciences Social Sciences ### Flexibility Courses may be completed at the student’s own pace and format: * All 8 credits can be completed in **two intensive terms**, or spread across **up to four terms**. * Students receive personalized academic planning based on their preferences and university goals. ### Tuition Information * **Total Program Fee:** CAD 12,000 (8 courses) * **Payment Plan:** Installments available (typically 2 payments). Most students begin in Grade 9 or 10, with the program lasting 6–8 terms (2–3 years). Graduates become eligible for universities in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., and public universities in Germany and across Europe. The most versatile pathway with the widest range of university options. ## Program Summary Covering the second half of the Ontario high school curriculum, this program allows students to transfer their local credits and complete the **OSSD**, opening doors to universities worldwide. Students typically take **2–3 courses per term**, completing the **14-credit program in 6 to 8 terms**. ### Who Is It For? * Students in Grades 9, 10, or 11 * Those who wish to expand their university options by adding an Ontario diploma alongside their local diploma * Students who need both Grade 11 and Grade 12 coursework shown on their transcript to meet specific university requirements ### University Admissions * Eligible for universities in **Canada, the U.S., the U.K.**, and all universities worldwide that accept the OSSD * Meets the requirement of **6 Grade 11 + 6 Grade 12 “U-level” courses** needed for admission to European public universities * For students aiming at **German public universities**: * All courses are assigned at U-level * German is recommended as the foreign language ### Admission Requirements * Actively enrolled in Grade 10 or 11 * Demonstrated English proficiency * Commitment and self-discipline ## Sample Course Plan Below is an example program for a Grade 9 student aiming to study engineering at a German public university (one of the most popular recent pathways). Students may choose electives based on their interests and goals. Grade Term 1 Term 2 ### Explanation * In this example, the student begins with a light load in Grade 9, then continues with 2 courses per term from Grade 10 onward. * Two German courses in Grade 10 satisfy the foreign language requirement of German public universities (additional German courses may still be needed depending on the institution). * Alongside German, Grade 11 **English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry** are taken early to meet entrance requirements. * Starting in the second term of Grade 11, students complete 6 Grade 12 courses. * If the student’s focus is **social sciences** rather than engineering, Physics or Chemistry in Grade 12 can be replaced with electives. * The program is flexible: students may **accelerate** by taking summer courses or 3 courses per term instead of 2. ## Tuition Information * **Total Program Fee:** CAD 20,000 (14 credits) * **Payment Plan:** Installments available (typically 3 payments). It is particularly well-suited for students whose families relocate frequently or who wish to study entirely outside the Turkish system. The most immersive program, offering the strongest academic foundation. ### Program Summary This four-year, full-time program covers the entire Ontario high school curriculum, offering students a complete Canadian education experience. Graduates earn the **Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)**, recognized by universities worldwide. ### Who Is It For? * Students entering Grade 9 (or having just completed Grade 8) * Homeschooled students or those not attending a traditional school * Students seeking to experience the Canadian curriculum in full and build a strong academic foundation ### Peer Interaction and Social Development We believe student growth is not limited to academics. Social interaction with peers is critical, and while we provide academic structure, **families play a key role** in creating opportunities for social engagement outside of class. ### University Admissions This program meets admission requirements for all universities and colleges that recognize the OSSD, including public universities in **Canada, the U.S., the U.K., and across Europe**. ### Admission Requirements * Completion of Grade 8 * English proficiency * Discipline and perseverance Grade Course Notes The sample course sequence for **Computer Engineering** illustrates one possible pathway.
