# OIHS 2026 Graduation Ceremony Held in Ankara

As Ontario International High School (OIHS), we are proud to have celebrated the graduation of 28 students at our ceremony in Ankara on Sunday, June 14. Of our graduates, who live in different cities, 16 attended the ceremony in person to receive their diplomas. Our students completed a rewarding educational journey without interrupting their education in Turkey, and celebrated this achievement together with their families.

**Academic Vision and Global Connection:** Our ceremony opened with a speech by our **Founding Principal Prof. Dr. Erhan Erkut**, focused on the competencies and vision students gain as they enter university life. **The** **Consul General of Canada, Ms. Natalie Britton**, then joined us live to congratulate our graduates.

**Messages from Our Teachers: Vice Principal Sara Rad**, who closely follows each student's progress, along with our teaching staff, stood by our students on this special day through personalized congratulatory videos.

**Honors and Awards:** At the ceremony, our 16 graduates in attendance received their diplomas, and the top three academic achievers were further recognized.

Student and Parent Remarks: Following a speech by our valedictorian **Ceren Şahin**, parent **Ahmet Şahin** took the floor to share the OSSD journey and the OIHS support system from a parent's perspective.

**Closing**: We concluded the day with a group photo, a cap throwing ceremony, and dinner with our families.
